JOE BUDDEN – “SLAUGHTERMOUSE”
This is the art of storytelling; this is the shit that made me love Budden’s The Mood Muzik series. I really like this track “SLAUGHTERMOUSE”, and hope the album is like this. Joey pens his letter to Slim Shady in the latest visual off his All Love Lost album. The song salutes slim shady but a big part of the content of the song is Joe’s circumstances within the last few years. The story hits themes such as his outspoken take on state of hip, fellow rappers abilities, public and media backlash. The song also delves into the state of slaughterhouse, the other members take on the current situations, and Joe’s own doubts. Over all I think this was the only way Joe could address his situation and the wider state of slaughterhouse, through the art of storytelling. Album drops October 16.
